Everything in this world starts with “I”. Self-love is to accept, approve, acknowledge, appreciate, embrace and love yourself unconditionally for ALL that you truly are. Life’s biggest struggle is to know and accept ourselves for all the weak, bad, ugly, inferior, and faulty imperfections that we think we may have.
Self-love is a priority in any relationship, especially the relationship with oneself. By you loving yourself first, you learn how to love others. You grow confidence of the mind + heart to love & appreciate the people around you.
By loving yourself, you are leading by example the kind of love, affection, happiness, companionship, relationship, & results you demand and want in your life. Living life, feeling and knowing you are loved & lovable is something that no one can give you or take away from you. It is solely defined by you, and only you.
It takes practice to speak up and be authentic to yourself, of your feelings ,and your needs; to appreciate your decisions and knowing that your word matters more than anyone else’s. Always keep your word to yourself, whether it be to take a yoga class, read a book, taking a vacation, anything small or big, honor your word as you would for your best friends / partner, don’t ever let yourself down because you matter.
Self-love is a continuous learning journey, it’s where boundaries are created and standards are set on how you deserve to and get to be treated by others. Self- love is often mistaken as selfishness & overlooked, but when you learn to appreciate & value yourself, you will weed out anyone who doesn’t truly value you. Respect yourself enough to walk away from anyone or anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy.
Imagine a world where everyone loves themselves more, what type of energy will be transmuted out to others, and the contribution we would give to bring people together with peace & love. As we love ourselves more, we are able to be more open and be compassionate towards one another. Ultimately breaking through the limits of who we are “supposed to be “, we will be able to contribute to ourselves and the world we all live in. Be mindful of the internal conversations, interpretations, feelings, behaviors, and patterns. Get to know yourself whole heartedly, all your strengths and weaknesses and learn to love both.
Be willing to let go the thought of who you should BE in order to be who you really are. We all deserve more & the best possible for anyone.
